Cachet Woods II, Markham
Design + Remodel
Our clients purchased this 20+ year home and came to us wanting a complete redesign of the entire home including a new staircase design, as the existing stairs was considered a big Feng-shui no-no being one long flight of stairs that lined up directly with the front door of the home.
By re-working the main floor layout, we were able to create a much larger kitchen with a double-tier island, walk-in pantry + laundry room, a multi-functioning dining + causal workspace area.
New finishes included a custom kitchen with a mix of natural cherry wood and supermatte white acrylic cabinetry with waterfall quartz countertops and backsplash for a modern yet timeless look. Custom built-ins were designed to cover two extra windows that made the area previously unusable but now lended the space to becoming a functional family room for the family. On the second floor, we also added an additional ensuite bathroom for one of the children’s bedrooms for increased functionality and the home’s future resale value.
